Cube, spice, bake, add to pasta. Simple.
Best served with an episode of Friday Night Lights.
Best served with an episode of Friday Night Lights.
Start with these, cinnamon, nutmeg, parmesan cheese
Prep
Cube. Using a potato peeler is laborious. How are you supposed to prep squash?
Douse with cinnamon, nutmeg, salt, pepper. Bake on oiled cooking sheet for 30 min at 350. Start some pasta about 10 minutes in so they finish together.
Plain pasta bed, heap on some parmesan, salt, and pepper. Sprinkle baked squash on top.

Ginger Snaps
Tasty fallout from Thanksgiving leftovers.
Candied ginger leftover from the turkey brine
Substituted ground allspice instead of cloves because I didn't have any
Here's a random aside: Shepherd's pie made from the leftover mashed potatoes. Not really my best effort - moving on...
The ginger chunks added a nice texture, and butter made these moist and delicious for days. Next time I may use half or even a quarter of the butter, it was THAT chewy!
Tasty!

Backyard bouquets
We didn't have any flowers for our holiday meal. So I found a pair of clippers, went out into the backyard, and made a couple bouquets. Done.

Concocted this lazy man's salad in high school, and it's still a household favorite.
